Coming into this weekends tournament as the host, the ECS Elecs Senior Girls Volleyball team will be looking to make a statement during play on Friday and Saturday.

Already one month and three tournaments into this season, the young team has seen some success that they will try to build off of moving forward.

"They're really geared up for our home tournament this weekend," explained the girls Head Coach, Nicole Sinclair. "We have a few different teams coming out to play so we're looking forward to seeing them play and what the results will be. We've had long hard practices about three times a week with training sessions once a week and tournaments every weekend. The girls are training really hard and it's showing in their skill level at each of our tournaments."

"We started off the year going to the University of Regina tournament. There's 32 teams from Saskatchewan and Manitoba, we placed in the top half which is a huge accomplishment for us being such a young team. We ended up in second at the tournament in Foam Lake a few weeks ago and they were really excited about that.

Last weekend at the Luther College tournament in Regina, the girls won their playoff game over Langenburg and finished in 9th. Sinclair noted that her young team could also be a potential force moving forward with only three graduates moving on after this season.

"There's a lot of skill coming up from the younger girls. It's always nice to have the younger girls coming up having them on the team for consecutive years. In the next couple years the team will be looking very strong," Sinclair stated.
