The Saskatchewan Hockey Association in conjunction with the SaskFirst High Performance Program, has released their rosters for the upcoming SaskFirst tournaments in April.

Of the 80 players selected to represent the south, five members from the Midget AA Estevan Apex Bruins have been named to the roster. In addition, five other players from around the south east have been selected.

"They're all first year kids and they've been all able to step into the line up and play big roles for us," explained Apex Bruins Head Coach, Robin Ulrich. "We're really proud of these five, it's nice to see these players step in from bantam. A lot of props goes to Tom(Copeland) and the work he did with them in bantam, as they were able to move into midget, step up into the line up and make an impact right away. They have the ability to be big players for us that log big minutes and play in important situations."

Kolby Kaban - Defenseman - Estevan

"He's a dynamic defenseman. He's a great skater and pretty good puck handler, his skating ability sets him apart."

Cale Adams - Forward - Estevan

"Exceptional skater, good puck handler and pretty gritty."

Zach Ashworth - Forward - Estevan

"Really good skater, plays a good defensive game and has the ability to play at both ends of the ice."

Joey Meredith - Forward - Gainsborough

"He's shifty and finds different ways to score, he's really good in the offensive zone."

Josh Romanyk - Forward - Estevan

"He's a good all around player who is offensively gifted with really good hands and scoring sense."
