B-EVENT

SCOTT BITZ (Saskatoon Sutherland) vs STEVE LAYCOCK (Saskatoon Nutana)

10-2 Laycock (8 ends) - Steve Laycock's rink has found their groove with a solid win over Scott Bitz. A steal of 2 in the 6th end to go up 6-1 was the turning point in the game. Laycock will now play in the B-Event final Saturday morning against Brock Virtue, while Bitz drops to the C-Event and will play Brent Gedak at 9am Saturday morning.

BRADY KENDEL (Saskatoon Sutherland) vs BROCK VIRTUE (Kerrobert)

6-4 Virtue - Brock Virtue got the lead early and held on throughout the game against Brady Kendel. Virtue will face Steve Laycock in the B-Event final at 9am Saturday morning. Kendel drops to the C-Event and will face Adam Casey at 9am on Saturday morning.

C-EVENT

BRENT GEDAK (Estevan Curling Club) vs JASON JACOBSON (Saskatoon Nutana)

8-3 Gedak (8 ends) - The hometown rink played it's best game of the Tankard in front of a supportive crowd at Affinity Place. Gedak started the game with a triple-takeout to count 1, then counted a 3-ender in the 3rd and a 2-ender in the 5th to pull away from and eliminate Jason Jacobson. Gedak advances to the 9am Saturday morning draw against Scott Bitz.

JEFF HARTUNG (Langenburg) vs ADAM CASEY (Regina Highland)

7-2 Casey (9 ends) - The defending Tankard champion avoided an early elimination by eliminating Jeff Hartung, a steal of 3 for Casey in the 7th end to go up 5-1 was the difference. Casey will now play Brady Kendel at 9am Saturday morning.

Draw #10 will kick off the weekend with the final of the B-Event, deciding Qualifier #2 to join Colton Flasch in the playoffs. It will also feature three games in the C-Event.
