Only three teams were left standing on Sunday morning in the 2018 SaskTel Tankard from Affinity Place in Estevan. In this year's semi-final, Steve Laycock and Brock Virtue squared off with the winner earning the right to play Colton Flasch in Sunday afternoon's Tankard championship final.

STEVE LAYCOCK (Saskatoon Nutana) vs BROCK VIRTUE (Kerrobert Curling Club)

7-3 Laycock (9 ends) - Steve Laycock jumped out to a 4-2 lead after the 4th end with the teams alternating scoring, but Laycock counting two in each the 1st and the 3rd end. Virtue climbed within one with a steal in the 5th, only to see Laycock bounce back with a double in the 6th to go up 6-3. After a blank in the 7th, Laycock stole another in the 8th to go up 7-3. Virtue concedes after a blank in the 9th end, giving Laycock the victory.

The 2018 SaskTel Tankard Championship match is set as Colton Flasch faces Steve Laycock. Flasch spent the past several years as the Second with Team Laycock and will play his former team for the first time ever with the Tankard title on the line. The winner will represent Saskatchewan at the 2018 Tim Hortons' Brier in Regina from March 3rd-11th.
