The Bantam AA Estevan TS&M Bruins regular season came to a close on Sunday in the Saskatchewan Bantam AA Hockey League, during an extremely important day to remember and honor their fallen coach, Mike Sarada.

On Friday night against Prairie Storm Extreme Hockey Lightning, Estevan found themselves down late in the first period only to see Colby Cuddington tie the game at 1-1 on an unassisted play.

Prairie Storm would open the game up in the second when they added three in five minutes, including two on the power-play. James Mann would cut the lead in half for Estevan on another unassisted goal late in the second.

In the third period, Prairie Storm would score the lone goal to take a 5-2 win from Estevan.

On Saturday against the Hounds in Wilcox, Kieran Stewart and Kaden Chrest would give the Bruins a 2-0 lead heading into the break. Notre Dame would add one in the second and three more in the third to score four unanswered goals on the way to 4-2 win over the Bruins.

Estevan out-shot Notre Dame 33-28 in the loss.

During Mike Sarada Memorial Day on Sunday in Estevan, it was their rival Weyburn Wings who would take a 3-1 victory.

After Weyburn scored a pair of goals mid-way through the first, they would add one more in the second to take a commanding 3-0 lead into the final frame.

Kieran Stewart would cut the lead to 3-1 in the third, with an unassisted goal coming at the halfway mark.

Dylan Ernst shut the door for Weyburn the rest of the way, as Estevan would fall 3-1.

Finishing the regular season 9-19-3, Estevan sits in 7th place of the South Division standings with 21 points.
