A big weekend is ahead for the Southeast AAA Twins.

The Twins, along with every team in the Saskatchewan Premier Baseball League will be in Saskatoon for the Midget Selects Tournament. As defending champions, the Twins will have their hands full as they try to defend their title.

"It will be a pretty interesting weekend, it's going to be tough," said Twins Head Coach Blaine Kovach. "The way the boys have been hitting, I know we'll battle hard against every one. I'm sure we can go in there and win it like we did last year."

On hand will be a number of scouts for Team Saskatchewan, who will be watching the games this weekend making evaluations and targeting players to potentially play on a Canada Cup team or the Midget Selects.

"All of the boys will be available to get scouted except third year players. It's just a great way for them to get a good look at the kids and actually see them play instead of hearing it from the coaches," explained Kovach when talking about scouts and evaluators seeing players in person.
