Day three has been a busy one for the crews working hard to prepare the ice surface in Affinity Place for the Tankard.

"We were just splashing the ice a bit here, sealing in the paint and getting ready to bring our open hose floods to level it off," shared Jason Baaten, one of the icemakers.

He added that they've also been preparing the rocks, and laying out the carpets in the ends and in between the sheets.

Next on the agenda is flooding the ice several times and fine tuning the surface to give smooth performance for the curlers.

Carpets are now installed along the sheets.
