It was too little too late for the Estevan Voltz as they dropped their semifinal match-up 11-7 against the Moose Jaw Mustangs on Wednesday night.

The Mustangs jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the first period and led 7-0 heading into the third. The Voltz started to mount a comeback early in the final frame with three goals in a span of 2:18, but the Mustangs responded with two more goals to take back control. All seven of the Voltz goals came in the third period, as their comeback fell short.

Nathan Wagstaff had a big game for Estevan as he scored four goals in under ten minutes during the third period.

The Voltz will now compete for bronze on Sunday. There opponent is undetermined.

The Bantam Estevan Warriors were eliminated from the Queen City Minor Box Lacrosse playoffs on Wednesday night losing 7-3 to the Moose Jaw Mustangs Team White.

"They are a very strong team," explained Warriors Head Coach Darcey Williams. "Our team gave a solid effort."

"Their goalie is one of the best in the league and he showed that last night."

Finishing the season with a 5-6-1 record, the Warriors will look ahead to next year as their season came to a close with the loss.
