As spring begins to gain the upper hand once again in southeast Saskatchewan, City employees are pulling out the heavy equipment to ramp up their work on the roads.

On Thursday, crews are on the 1200 block of 1st Street replacing a fire hydrant. The road is closed with no through traffic, as well as the north access to the Churchill playpark.

Motorists and the public is asked to avoid the area, including the park, until the work is completed.

Also noteworthy for drivers is the intersection of 1st Street and 13th Avenue, which may have some restricted lane access.

You are reminded to slow down, watch for workers, and find an alternate route.
