For the second time, the campuses at the Southeast College participated in a Food Bank Challenge to collect food for local food banks. And for the second time, Estevan came out on top collecting 475 lbs of food, followed by Weyburn with 307 lbs and Moosomin with 194 lbs.

“Once again our staff and our students have donated a huge amount of food for our local food banks,” stated Sheena Onrait, Manager of Marking and Communications for Southeast College. “We couldn’t be more proud of our students, staff and community members for supporting this worthwhile cause.”

“We value the communities that we are a part of and this is just one small way we can give back to them,” said Dion McGrath, President and CEO of Southeast College. “We are overwhelmed with the amount of food that our staff and students brought in. We also received donations from other businesses in the community which is really nice to see as well.”

The real winner of this friendly competition will be the local food banks who will now receive an extra 976 pounds of food.
