The Warm Welcome kitchen has been running for that past few months, and as numbers continue to rise the need is becoming apparent in the city as a second location is opening up on Thursday nights.

Christa Jorgensen the Kitchen Coordinator with Warm Welcome shared how its been going, "Awesome, we had 50 people turn out last night, for spaghetti and meatballs."

"I did rib's the other night, I've done a roast too, and tacos, pretty much anything," Christa told of the types of meals they have been serving.

The second location came at the perfect time as the temperatures continue to drop for the winter season, "Actually Trinity Lutheran Church has stepped up and it will start up November 15th this Thursday at 5:30 to 6:30. We get to serve up another meal."

The message has been passed along, "I think its good word of mouth, I've had many new turnouts lately. I keep hearing about good food, so it's always nice to hear to keep the cook going. "

Lastly, Christa expressed a need, "The Warm Welcome kitchen is always looking for volunteers, they can get ahold of me, Christa Jorgensen at 421-1543. Or even a cash donation is always nice to keep the program going. That's always an excellent thing as well because it is a great program that feeds many people a night. Like I said we served 50 people last night."

An organization that impacts our city in such a positive capacity.
