The Town of Midale's local Conexus Credit Union was in the giving spirit on Friday, donating $5,000 towards upgrades and improvements on the Town's pool.

"Conexus has always been community minded, and it's just important for us to help support the community in any way we can," stated Financial Services Advisor Pam Chapman.

"It's tremendous. Without the support of our corporate sponsorships, like with Conexus, it's hard for small communities to survive and keep recreation going," added Mayor Al Hauglum.

"The donation is, well, what can I say. It's excellent for our pool projects. We'd like to thank Conexus and all the sponsorship that they have shown towards the town of Midale."

The pool has proved to have been a very popular spot in the Town in the last couple years, with Hauglum noting that they have had to turn people away due to the crowds at the peak of the season.
