The 42nd Annual Estevan United Way Telethon has begun. 

As always, the ECS JAzz Band started the show off with O Canada and a few other numbers. 

Mayor Roy Ludwig was in attendance and spoke about the wonderful volunteers who put on this great event. He also issued a challenge to his counterparts, MLA Lori Carr and MP Dr Robert Kitchen to donate $200 towards the goal of $335,000.

Lori Carr was unable to attend due to the sitting of the Legislature, but she sent her regards through her assistant, Susan Colbow. She also mentioned the great volunteers and wished Estevan and area wished the UNited Way good luck in reaching the goal

Kasey McIntyre spoke on behalf of Dr Robert Kitchen, MP for Souris - Moose Mountain who is in Ottawa at the moment. He sent his thoughts to tall the volunteers and shared of the great work the United Way does in the community - and has fun doing it.

 The United Way also made a $2,000 presentation to the Estevan Legion.
