Envision Counselling and Support Centre are coming together to partner with CJ1150, Sun102, Rock 106, and DiscoverEstevan to help raise funds for all of their programming.

Tania Andrist, Resource Development Co-ordinator, "Envision Counselling is looking forward to this fundraiser so that we can continue to have the programming in the Southeast that helps people in our community. It's so important right now, although our government funding hasn't been cut, we have not had any increases in our funding for 3 years. And so right now we're trying to support the community needs, were trying to have programming that is helpful to all the people in our community and it's difficult because of these funding freezes."

In regard to where they are going to use the funding, "When we raise these funds through the raffle, Envision Counselling will be putting it towards our counselling programs, to our prevention programs, and towards the functioning of our offices. In the 4 locations, in Estevan, Carlyle, Oxbow, and in Weyburn."

"Some of the programs that will absolutely benefit from this fundraiser, are our Family Intervention Program." Andrist goes on to share, "Which involves a family that have a crisis, or that have emotional or relationship troubles. We also have a counsellor in Estevan that sees children that have been exposed to violence, and it's such a delicate and such a difficult counselling program because we have young kids that can be so affected by these family traumas."

With the downturn in the economy, there has been an increase in clients. Andrist when asked about the current need, "We've just started a new program, within our children exposed to violence, which is called Growing Together. Which is a parenting support program, that goes alongside that counselling program for kids. Sometimes when mother's or families have been traumatized, the parent is so involved in their own trauma that they really have difficulty being a good parent so this growing together program makes such a difference in mother's and parents lives because they're able to build that relationship that was broken during the time of trauma. So we're really looking forward to using this funding to continue to run these positive programs."

Envision Counselling strengthens our communities through therapeutic counselling, support services, and education. Its a non-profit, community-based organization governed by a volunteer Board of Directors from Southeast Saskatchewan and they are looking for our support in this 50/50 for a Cause.
