It was a packed house at the Festival of Trees fundraising dinner for the St. Joseph's Hospital Foundation, as the ice in Affinity Place was transformed into a surface fit for tables, chairs and a stage.

Generosity was not only seen from those who bought the tickets and arrived in droves for the food and entertainment, but from those involved. The ECS gave a sneak peek of their School of Rock performance coming up, and $1.00 from each ticket sold for that event went towards the Foundation, and the folks hired to set up for the big event decided to return their hard earned pay.

"What a great turnout. We're thrilled with the ongoing support of our community. It should never surprise us, because we live in such a generous city that rises to the occasion time and time again," expressed Greg Hoffart, the Executive Director of the St. Joseph's Hospital.

"I think the attendance is bang on. We were shooting for 80 tables last year and this year as a sell out, and that's where we're at, so great job to the Foundation and their staff for the amazing job they've done pulling this event off."

He added that the weekend had already been off to a good start, with the Senior's Tea and Father/Daughter Gala on Friday night, and big show in the supper took it to a whole new level.

"They (the staff at the St. Joseph's Hospital Foundation) work tirelessly throughout the course of the year to pull this off, and it's just great to see them rewarded. That's their reward, this full house here."

The evening included a meal, live and silent auctions, and musical entertainment provided by the Regina based Tilted Kilts.
