Approximately 1500 people came through the doors during the 2nd Annual Savour the Southeast. With vendors from across the province and three bands to entertain the crowds, it was a night to rememeber.

"The event is awesome," said Josh Leblanc, one of the organizers for the event. "Lots of people coming through the door. Lots of food, lots of beverages. It's a good night."

And not only was it a great night for those who attended, but an even better night for the Kinsmen and Kinettes who will put the proceeds of the event towards the construction of their outdoor rink.

"This is something that we thought about for a long time even during the application process," he added. "We honestly believe that this is a lasting legacy project that will benefit the residents of Estevan and that's something we really wanted Savour to be about."

And the night would not have gone as smoothly without all the hard work put in by all of the volunteers and workers.

"Huge thank you to the community for coming out and supporting us. To all the volunteers, the Kinsmen the Kinettes, the organizing committee, all of the vendors who are willing to donate part of their procees to the charity as well. Thank you so much. This has beeen an outstanding event and we'll maybe see it again in 2018."

Check back for an update on totals including how much was raised for the new rink.
