With a few hours passed since the large, two day toy drive over Tuesday and Wednesday, the Angel Tree program coordinators have gotten a chance to take a look at the mountain of toys in the daylight.

"We are a lot more optimistic that we're going to make our goal. We got so many toys Wednesday, it's out of this world. The support we've gotten is just amazing," expressed Char Seeman.

She added that the stories that came out of the event, highlighting those who were touched by the program and are now giving back, are encouraging.

"That's the reason why we do it, for sure. It's to see the people that were in the program and now help us, that's just amazing."

The collection period ends Saturday, after which the toys will be sorted and set up to be selected from by parents.
