Facing another cold weekend with another frigid warning it feels as though spring will never come, but the temperature is expected to increase later into the week.

"Starting early next week, the daytime temperatures are starting to warm up; the nighttime temperatures are also warming up, still well below normal, unfortunately," shared Natalie Hasell with Environment Canada. "Below normal conditions to the end of this forecast period and into the next week, but it is slowly improving and will hopefully be back to normal by mid-month."

This past February was the second coldest on record for Estevan.

"Only a couple more days of the extremely cold wind chills, especially the early morning periods, but things are slowly improving, and by next week it will feel like a completely different situation than what we're experiencing this weekend."

Hasell reminds everyone to stay warm and be prepared for the cold and to stay positive, and it will happen.
