The southeast was rocked by another severe thunderstorm Tuesday night that left the worst of it's fangs in the southwest, but certainly lobbed whatever it had left at Estevan and area.

"Quite a bit of severe weather in the southwestern part of the province. It tended to weaken up a little bit as it moved eastward through the night, but there were a few reports of tornadoes in the southwest along with some very large hail," said Environment Canada's Mark Melsness.

"Kindersley got hit quite hard as well, with some very strong winds and heavy rain out there, so quite an active night."

He noted that around 10 millimeters of rain were recorded at the Estevan Airport, but more could have fallen in town. Yellowgrass had 14 millimeters, 21 in Weyburn, and 28 in Melita, Mb.

Melsness added that the next few days ahead can expect to see primarily sunny skies, some stronger winds, and temperatures remaining near the 30 degree mark.
