The Agricultural Producers Association of Saskatchewan (APAS) will be holding their District One Fall meeting today at Kenosee Lake in Moose Mountain Provincial Park.

In addition to policy discussion and resolutions, they also plan to discuss surface rights legislation.

They recently released a statement in regards to the passage of the Comprehensive and Progressive Trans-Pacific Partnership.

"The passage of CTPP opens up significant export opportunities for Saskatchewan farmers and ranchers, and we are very pleased to see the speedy ratification of this landmark trade agreement by decision makers,” said APAS President Todd Lewis.

“Our producers are the most trade-dependent in Canada, and we are ready to take advantage of new market opportunities in the Pacific region. This is good news for our producers and rural communities,” Lewis concluded.
