As you may or may not know, we here at the Estevan radio station along with the Salvation Army were at the Southern Plains Co-op last week collecting food donations.

Our final totals have come through and we are proud to announce that nearly 1,000 pounds of food were collected through the Blow Away Hunger food drive with Power Dodge.

Ronza Reynard with the Salvation Army said that a large sum of food such as that can last upwards of a month.

The food bank is always in need of extra donations and is currently short on juice boxes, both big and small, as well as canned sandwich meat and coffee.

If you would like to donate to their cause you can take it directly to their establishment and if you would like to donate today you can find them down at the Holiday Train today in Estevan.

Golden West Broadcasting thanks everyone who participated, as well as the following sponsors: Power Dodge, Winmar Property Restoration, Hall Funeral Services, Jump.ca, Western Financial, Southeast College, DQ Grill and Chill, City of Estevan, Dolly Sue's Marketplace, Fast Trucking Service, Black Diamond Group, and Johnson Bros Equipment for the trailer.
