Around 200 Bruins fans packed the Orpheum Theatre as they streamed Game 5 of the SJL Finals and raised money in support of Humboldt.

"The event went really, really well," shared Josh Leblanc, one of the organizers of the event. "We raised around $3,000 for the fundraising efforts for Humboldt."

"Coldwell Banker wanted to give back somehow to the tragedy that happened. We were trying to think of different ways because we knew restaurants and barbecues and all that kind of stuff were happening so we just thought what if we rented the theatre. We contacted the theatre and the Orpheum was absolutely amazing to deal with. Alan and Jocelyn did a whole ton of work for us as well and partner with them was one of the best things."

While quite pleased with the success of the event, Leblanc wasn't shocked at the totals.

"A ton of businesses got involved throughout this whole campaign and I'm not surprised. I've lived here all my life and I know that when the community needs to come together and to show support, the community does it every time. And this is just another example of why this is a great place to live and we all have very generous citizen in our community."
