The Canadian Western Agribition has announced the recipients of the 2018 scholarship.

Christin Dixon from Arcola was the recipient of a $2,500 scholarship given to students with a history of involvement in the CWA as competitors, volunteers, or exhibitor who are now in post-secondary education. Dixon has participated at CWA for eight years and grew up on a purebred Polled Hereford farm. Active in sports and class Valedictorian, she is now attending the University of Regina. She plans further her education in dentistry and raise a small herd of Polled Hereford cattle.

Kathryn Serhienko, from Maymont, Sask and Travis Hunter from Didsbury, Alberta were also awarded scholarships. 

The Barry Andrew Family Scholarship went to Jill Sparrow of Vanscoy, Sask. The William M. Farley Memorial Scholarship was awarded to Emma Nicholas of Milestone, Sask.

The scholarships were first handed out 25 years ago.
