The Carnduff Fire Department has released the following press release:

"At 2:02 am the Carnduff and RM of Mount Pleasant #2 Fire Department was dispatched for a house fire on the 100 block of Baglelo Crescent. 18 members of the Carnduff Fire Department responded with 2 Pumper trucks, 1 Tender truck, and 1 Rescue truck."

"Upon arrival firefighters encountered a fully involved house trailer on fire. The fire quickly spread to a neighbouring house trailer and vehicle.  Due to the intense flames, firefighters could not make entry into the first home and had to use a defensive attack. Firefighters used 2 supply lines and 4 attack lines to contain the fire in the second home. Firefighters were able to get the second fire under control, and stop the spread to other homes in the area."

"After both fires were extinguished 2 bodies were discovered in the first home. Firefighters then secured the scene and turn the investigation over to the RCMP, the Fire Commissioners Office, Yorkton Forensic Identification Services, and the Office of the Chief Coroner. Any future updates on the investigation will come from the RCMP, not the Carnduff Fire Department."

"The Carnduff Fire Department would like to thank Carnduff RCMP, Carnduff EMS, and all our volunteers for their hard work."

"We would like to offer our thoughts and prayers to those affected by this awful tragedy. Please respect the families privacy during this very difficult time."
