Leave your guns at home. That's the message the Canadian Border Services Agency is trying to get through to all travelers to Canada. However, for one US resident, that lesson was learned the hard way.

According to the CBSA, on October 7th, a US traveler to Canada was stopped at the border and was found with a .25 caliber handgun that was not declared.

The traveler paid a $1,000 penalty and was allowed to return to the US.
