SaskPower has released their status update for the Carbon Capture and Storage Facility at Boundary Dam for the month of May:

"In May, the Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) facility at Boundary Dam Power Station was available 40.3 per cent of the time. This level of availability was largely due to the scheduled maintenance outage as reported in April’s BD3 update blog, and followed a 136-day production run. The CCS outage was extended due to a minor trip of a compressor cooler and to accommodate for two unscheduled outages at the power station. In total, the CCS facility captured 28,793 tonnes of carbon dioxide in May, which represents 28.7 per cent of its maximum capacity."

"Recently, the Canadian Electricity Association recognized SaskPower’s carbon capture and storage project at Boundary Dam 3 through their Centre of Excellence, which showcases Canadian innovations in how electricity is produced, delivered and used."
