Vandalism, public intoxication, and keeping arguments peaceful highlighted the Thursday nightshift for the Estevan Police Service.

"(We) received a call from an intoxicated male. He was located and picked up, and cleared medically through the hospital before he was released to a sober person at his residence later on," related Sergeant Tyler McMillen.

"Police responded to a downtown apartment building twice during the nightshift to assist a couple who were having an argument. We weren't needed very long, as nothing criminal had occurred or was reported between the two."

Officers then arrested a female on the 1300 block of 4th Street for public intoxication. No was around to take responsibility for her, so she was put in cells until sober. No charges were laid.

"Police came upon a set of garbage bins in the alley of the 1100 block of 4th Street, the south alley. A male had damaged them there and was crawling on top of him. Some of them were broken. We are investigating the matter and charges of mischief are pending," shared McMillen.
