The Weyburn RCMP arrested a 39-year-old man from Surrey, B.C. on Christmas Day at the Regway border crossing. The arrest happened after Canada Border Services Agency officers found what they suspected to be 28 grams of black tar heroin in his vehicle.

The man, who was not identified, is facing charges of unlawfully importing heroin into Canada, and possession of heroin.

He is scheduled to appear in Weyburn Provincial Court on February 6th.

There were a few more firearm seizure in the following days.

On December 28th, officers at North Portal, SK seized a loaded prohibited 38 calibre revolver from a commercial driver from Texas. He was arrested and received a one thousand dollar penalty and returned to the US.

Then, on December 29th, officers at Oungre, SK seized a semi automatic rifle, a handgun and two overcapacity magazines from a North Dakota man. He was was also arrested and returned to the States after paying a twenty five hundred dollar penalty.
