The City of Estevan has issued a Severe System Winter Storm Warning.

"10-15 cm of snow, rain and isolated pockets of freezing rain," shared EMO Coordinator, Helen Fornwald, "with moderate to strong wind gusts possibly reaching 70 km/hr starting tomorrow, Friday, March 23rd at approximately 12 o'clock and lasting until 6 pm."

"As a result of these conditions, be aware of reduced visibility on the roadways, slippery road conditions due to falling snow and snow covered roads."

"The public is encouraged to delay all unnecessary travel until the storm conditions are over. Please remember if you are travelling, to be well prepared and have an emergency kit with you, dress for the weather conditions, and notify someone of your travel plans."

Precipitaion will begin as a mix of rain and snow and there will likely be reduced visibility on the roads.

"The weather system is expected to have heavy snow, wet freezing temperatures, freezing rain and strong winds are expected to pick up over the night."
