Tundra Energy Marketing Limited (TEML) held a fundraising evening on Friday, October 19th which raised money for the Estevan United Way.

Justin Pearce with TEML, "It was good, as it has been since its inception. It was sold out and the crowd really seemed to have enjoyed themselves, we raised, well we will be presenting a cheque at the Telethon of $44,000.00."

Cooks that Cook was something that was developed by an employee, this year marked the 10th consecutive year having the event. It has been described as the potluck paradise. "And that came of course by the live and silent auction, ticket sales, and raffles."

As for how many cooks they had participate from all woks of life Justin adds, "Between cooks and restaurants, just under 60."

The event gets bigger each year and Piersen said this about their location, "We may have maxed out our size in the Wylie Mitchell Hall, it's still nice if you want the small feel to the event. As compared to putting it in a bigger venue."

"I think we will give all the volunteers a bit of a rest," Piersen adds when asked if plans are underway for next year.

For more details tune in for the United Way Telethon as Tundra Energy Marketing Limited will present their grand total to our United Way.
