Members of the UNited Way Member Agncies were at the United Way Annual General Meeting last week to talk about the various programs they provide for the community.

"Judy Pratt and myself both attended," shared Shelly Veroba, co-manager of Creighton Lodge. "We actually both really enjoyed the Annual General Meeting because it just gives us an idea of what other member agencies are also doing in the community. It makes us realize how important United Way dollars are to the community and the different member agencies, how important the work they do is. Some of them wouldn't even function without the United Way dollars."

"Creighton Lodge is actually unique with the United Way because of the fact that we use small portions they give towards capital items. This year, one of our capital projects is our sidewalk and parking lot replacement program."

"On a normal basis, the United Way money goes toward volunteer recognition, any of our volunteer programs. It also goes towards enriching the lives of the senior, special events we hold, outings, we also do exercise programs and any kind of activity we do."
