A suspicious package caught the attention of a local business recently.

"Yesterday morning," explained Cst. Danielle Stephany, "Estevan Police Service received a call from a business in the city. One of their staff had located what they believed to be drugs in their parking lot."

"They felt it was possibly cocaine."

Police attended the business in the industrial part of Estevan and picked up the substance. It was later confirmed to be cocaine."

"We'd like to remind the public that if they do find any of these items that they suspect to be drugs to handle it carefully especially if you're going to pick it up, use gloves."

She added that if the drugs do need to be moved for safety reasons, use caution. Otherwise, don't handle it and call the police immediately.
