Joseph Limin and Shae-Lyn Hamilton from the ECS grade 11 communications media class, along with their teacher James Dobos attended the Police Board meeting last night. They received a certificate of recognition from Police Chief Paul Ladouceur for an ad they created for a new campaign to stop people from texting and driving with the slogan, "Better Left Unread than Someone Dead."

James Dobos shares, "They are very skilled at working in graphic design and working with a number of different photoshop apps to put together the ads that we sent to the police force. It came about through our administration. It was sent to me to look for two talented students, to put together these advertisements for the campaign. I had two students in mind to do it and they worked efficiently to take the photos for the campaign and edit it together to a very effective ad. I am looking forward to seeing the final product of this campaign, I think it will be very effective. We are now looking forward to seeing how it goes over in the community and getting some feedback. From the feedback we got tonight, we can see that the students' work has been effective so far and I think they are very proud of what they’ve done."
