Eddie Webster's is just the latest local business to step up and raise money in support of those involved with the Humboldt Broncos bus accident.

During Eddie's weekly fish and chips day last Friday, all proceeds from 156 orders were donated to the Broncos GoFundMe page, which eclipsed the $12.8 Million mark on Tuesday afternoon.

"We had two of our servers donate their hours for the day that contributed to the total as well," explained Eddie Websters, General Manager, Kristie Paton.

Combined with their totals from sales and servers donating their hours, Eddies made a donation of $1636.

"We started talking about it on Thursday after seeing the success of Dairy Queen, and just thought wow they did such an amazing job. Never trying to compete or anything, but we thought we would pitch in and do whatever we could."

Paton said that on a normal Friday, they will do around 30 fish and chip specials, and said it was great to see just how many people came to support the cause.
