Enrollment numbers at Southeast College, which has campuses in Weyburn, Estevan, Indian Head and Moosomin, have been strong so far this year. With many of the post-secondary courses wrapping up the programs, they are gearing up for offerings of new programs set to launch later this month.

Sheen Onrait with Southeast College explained for the current semester, they have seen enrollment increase in one program.

“We actually did see increase in our Adult Basic Education class enrollments across our region, so that was really great to see, so we really boosted up those numbers in those classes.”

The college is also offering students the chance to take first-year university courses through the University of Regina, while staying in their home communities.

“We’re always looking to add more students, and we will be hitting the ground running with university enrollments in the next couple of weeks.” said Onrait.

There is one full time post-secondary program getting set for launch later this month. The college will be offering an industrial mechanic course at the Estevan campus, and there are still seats available.
