Following the tragic accident involving the hockey players from Humboldt, many people are looking for a way to deal with their grief.

"Specifically one of the issues that we would deal with is crisis," shared Tanis Andrist, with Envision Counselling and Support Centre. "If someone is having more emotional difficulties with the events that happened in Humboldt or surrounding the team in Humboldt, then we are definitely available for counselling or just to have a conversation and to see if it would be appropriate."

"We have four offices and we welcome people if they need help and if they need to reach out locally, they are certainly welcome."

She explained that grief is not something that will go away overnight, it can often take time to manifest.

"Right now, everything is fresh and people are talking about it but in the coming months, you just don't know what could trigger a reaction. So certainly people connected, and people not even connected might feel the need to talk to someone. It's not a short-term, it's something that is long-term."

Andrist added that Envision Counselling and Support Centre does not charge for their counselling.

"Just phone us and make an appointment with us. No cost."
