The Estevan Police Service made one impaired driving arrest over the weekend.

"We arrested a 24-year-old male out of Gilbert Plains, Manitoba for impaired driving. He was released with an appearance date later in December this year for impaired driving, drive over .08, and possession of cocaine."

However, it isn't all bad news. Sgt Reed was impressed to see how many vehicles were left in the parking lot overnight.

"On Saturday night, I was quite impressed. At the end of the night, I patrolled around the city to check the bars to see what type of volume was left there. It was a busy night on Saturday night for the liquor establishments and there was a large number of vehicles left at the bars for the evening. Thanks to the public and to the bars to make sure everyone got home safely."

EPS also made an arrest on Friday.

"We arrested a 56-year-old male that was out on bail for trafficking charges. He was arrested for breaching his conditions. He'll appear in court on Monday morning here in Estevan. He was held in cells for the weekend."
