Friday evening was a fairly calm evening in the Energy City. The Estevan Police Service received only a few calls, one was a reported theft from a local store, the matter is still under investigation.

"Members attended to a complaint of a possible impaired driver in the Nicholson and Wellock area. The driver was located and charged with having an unrestrained minor and warned of driving actions," said Sergent Evan Handley of the Estevan Police Service.

Police attended to a local establishment for a report of a large fight. The matter is still under investigation and charges pending.

A 40-year-old Estevan male was arrested for being intoxicated in a public place and refusing to leave a licensed establishment when asked to do so. He was lodged in cells until sober and will be released in the morning with no charges.

Members attended to a complaint of a male trying doors on vehicles in the Eva Street area. The male was located and spoken to.

The Police also performed curfew checks as well as kept an eye out for any drivers who may have been impaired.
