The Estevan police service conducted high visibility check-stops over the long weekend. They were happy to report that there were no impaired drivers.

Also over the long weekend, police conducted a traffic stop in the early evening on Saturday and two people were arrested.

"Members did a traffic stop over on the east end of the city," explained Sgt Kevin Reed. "The driver of the vehicle had outstanding warrants from Weyburn. He was released on a recognizance for court in Weyburn."

The 28-year-old female passenger was charged with possession of methamphetamine and will appear in court in September.
