A few minor incidents required the attention of the Estevan Police Service over the Thursday night shift.

"Earlier in the evening we were looking into an incident where somebody saw a vehicle driving around down at Cactus Park, possibly doing damage to the soccer fields and ball diamonds," related Sergeant Craig Bird.

"We went down there to have a look. Unfortunately we were unable to locate the vehicle that was in question...because of darkness we were not able to see if there was any damage done to the soccer fields or baseball diamonds. We're going to have to check that out during the day and see if anything actually did happen down there."

Officers also received a report of a noisy part in the north end of the city. They went over and had a chat with the homeowner and had the noise dialed down.

In addition, they attended a 911 call from someone who had concerns regarding their furnace, which was emanating a burnt smell. It turned out to be dirt and dust from sitting all summer.
