Estevan Police officers were kept busy yesterday responding to a number of calls. 

"Members attended to the report of a mattress on fire in central Estevan which had burnt itself out upon Police arrival. Two subjects found in the proximity were spoken two, but the matter remains under investigation however one of the individuals was found to be intoxicated and arrested for being intoxicated in a public place as well as charged with breaching the conditions of his Undertaking by not abstaining from the consumption of alcohol. The 24-year-old Estevan man will make his first court appearance in Estevan Provincial Court on August 20, 2018, at 9:30 AM."

"A 45-year-old Estevan man was charged following an ongoing investigation into a fraud where he sold his vehicle to another individual knowing there was money still an existing lien. He will make his first court appearance in Estevan Provincial Court on August 20, 2018, at 9:30 AM. Damage was done to a residence in central Estevan where a window was broken and a vehicle parked nearby scratched. The matter remains under investigation."

"A report was received of someone attempting to enter a vehicle parked in front of a residence in South Estevan. Police patrolled the area, but no one was found. No damage was done and nothing was taken."

"Two suspicious youths were reported in the backyard of a residence in Northcentral Estevan. Members patrolled the area, but no one was found. No damage was done and nothing was taken." 

"A report was received of youths drinking in an East Estevan establishment parking lot. Members attended, but the youths were found not to be in possession of alcohol." 

"EPS received a report of a teenager who had been missing from a central Estevan residence since the previous day. As members were searching, EPS received a call from the parents reporting that the teenager had returned home safe."
