The Estevan Police Service dealt with a variety of calls last night, from disputes to mischief.

Sgt. Kevin Reed, "We had a number of calls last night, Members received a complaint from a tenant about their landlord. So Members contacted the landlord and mediated a resolution for the evening between the two parties."

Even though cannabis is now legal in our country, it is still illegal to be under the influence while driving. As one local resident found out late last night, "Members also stopped an individual operating their motor vehicle and consuming marijuana last night. The individual was issued a ticket under the cannabis control act and is set for court in April."

After a curfew check that ended badly earlier this week, it seems as though everyone else has been compliant. Sgt. Reed, "We also did a number of curfew and residents checks last night, and everyone was found to be at home. We also received a complaint of possible mischief to a vehicle, a car alarm continued to go off. Members attended and found that everything was fine."
