The Estevan Foodbank is always looking to get more donations, especially for the upcoming winter/Christmas season.

"We are slowly getting some donations in, the Catholic Church just had a food drive over the last weekend so we are in the process of going through it and putting it away. This week we are expecting a food drive from the FCC, they do that right across Canada and so they will be dropping that off sometime this week at the food bank. We are looking forward to seeing what comes in with that food drive. This time of the year we have many companies doing that for their Christmas team building, so we should see more things coming in leading up to Christmas."

Some of the items they don't get often are canned meats, cereals, and lunch supplies. Anyone wanting to donate can drop their donations off at the Estevan Salvation Army Thrift Store during store hours as the Foodbank is in the Thrift Store. There is someone available Monday to Saturday from 10 am - 5:30 pm. They graciously accept donations all year long, as there are always people in need of food.

They have a food drive going on this week by the FCC and they go through schools and around the community for donations for the food bank.
