"Tourism Estevan is announcing today the launch of our new program called Experience Estevan Selfie Spots," shared Destination Marketing and Communications Consultant, Rebecca Westling.

Selfie.jpgTake your best selfie and use #ExperienceEstevan to share it.

"The program aims to highlight the best places to take a selfie but we'll be applying decals to those areas where the best place is."

There will be a 24" sticker along with footprints where you can stand to get the best selfie. Simply hashtag your photo with #ExperienceEstevan and share it with the world.

"We will be continually adding different spots but currently we will be focusing on locations throughout the city and Estevan area."

"Some of the highlights would be Woodlawn Regional Park at Boundary Dam beach. Everyone experiences the beach in different ways like playing frisbee, or volleyball, or swimming. Estevan Motor Speedway is pretty unique to our area and it's a really cool thing to experience. TS & M Woodlawn golf course is another spot, one of the holes on the course has the best spot. And then parks around the area, splash pads, that sort of thing."

The complete list can be found on the City's website.

"The idea came to me from Tourism Saskatchewan and Destination Canada, they have the Red Chair program at national parks where they promote taking a selfie in the Red Chair. And we wanted to showcase Estevan and we're really focusing on our content on social media. We want to share with others the best place to take a photo."
