Affinity Place will see some changes now that the Leisure Services Manager, Nathan Jesse has decided to step down.

"An opportunity came up for Nathan in his personal life," explains City Manager, Jeff Ward, "and he decided to make a transition."

"It is a key role. We have a lot of events, we have a lot of citizens who use that facility, we have box holder so we really need that person to handle any issues that come up at the facility and to really promote the facility."

He added that the City will now be on the lookout for someone to fill the void.

"We have the application out. We are definitely looking at all options. We're looking at maybe shifting some responsibilities and there will be a discussion with council and some of the other managers over at the leisure centre and Affinity Place to see how we want to move forward with it. But we do have the application out at this time so we are accepting resumes."

Ward added that he and other managers at the leisure centre will step up and manage the day to day activities.

"In the interim, we're going to see how the reporting structure is going to work but if there's anything high level, I'll be handling any of those issues at this time."
