An Estevan man will have to wait until the last week in August before he will know if there is enough evidence to proceed to trial. David Tierney's preliminary trial for possession and trafficking a firearm has been scheduled for August 29th & 30th at Estevan Provincial Courthouse.

Tierney was originally arrested on February 28th, 2018 after Estevan Police Service had been conducting a marijuana trafficking investigation from 2016. Through the investigation, the EPS discovered that Tierney had allegedly sold a semi-automatic rifle to an individual while on a 10-year firearms prohibition.
