Condolences have poured in to the community of Humboldt from world leaders, entertainers, and all types sports, as the city deals with the tragedy of the horrific bus crash Friday night.

Estevan's Mayor, Roy Ludwig, says that he has reached out to Mayor Rob Muench of Humboldt to see if there's anyway Estevan can help.

"I emailed Rob and gave him our condolences. My goodness, this is just an absolutely tragic, tragic event. Our condolences on behalf of the City go out to the hockey players, their families, the team, the city of Humboldt, just everyone involved."

He added that Estevan can relate to Humboldt, as the Energy City too has a Junior A club and a vibrant hockey community. One could only imagine how the southeast would be impacted by such an event.

"He hasn't gotten back, I know he's crazy busy, but I know we'll be talking soon," Ludwig said, "We're still getting over the shock of it. It's hard to take the scope of this in."
