In another example of Saskatchewan's astonishing generosity in the wake of the tragic Humboldt Bronco bus crash, Estevan's McDonalds joined the ranks of local establishments that went above and beyond to raise support.

"We had made the decision to take a dollar for every cup of coffee that we had sold between Tuesday and Wednesday, and that would be our contribution to the Humboldt Broncos," shared co-owner Chris Jenish.

In all, $1,500 was raised from sales in the drive thru and over the counter.

"The community is wonderful as always, going ahead and helping us out. Anybody that's doing any form of fundraising, especially for this cause, everybody has just gone above and beyond."

The initiative was locally based, although other outlets throughout the province have contributed in ways of their own.

"Everybody has said the same thing over and over, and it is always so heartfelt. It was such a shock, and everybody has rallied with prayers and support in one way or another. It's wonderful to live in a province where people are very caring and sharing their time and energy when a tragedy like this happens," Jenish added.
