The Estevan Police Service marked a quiet Halloween celebration Wednesday night for 2018's edition of the event.

"The night went very well. The bike patrol was out for the night early on into the evening, as well as (regular) patrols," shared Sergeant Kevin Reed.

"We only had four complaints. Two of them are driving complaints, and one was about a pedestrian walking down the middle of the street on Kensington Avenue. Then there was a social gathering complaint about the noise bylaw early this morning down in the trailer park."

He attributes part of the peaceful evening to it being a weeknight, as well as a number of functions being held that drew children off the streets.
