The Estevan Police Service had a fairly good Friday night with only a few calls and stops. A traffic stop was made in Estevan that resulted in a 20-year-old man receiving a 120-day suspension as well as the vehicle impounded for 7 days as a result of a roadside screening test for alcohol. The length of the suspension and impoundment was because he was only holding a novice 2 license and it was also his second driving suspension.

"Any time we have a new driver or a novice 2 and there is any alcohol it's an automatic suspension. There is zero tolerance for that," states Constable Don Dechief.

There was a reported impaired driver who was located and found to be sober.

There was also a 26-year-old man from Griffen Sk. he was transported to the hospital as a result of members being called to a location where the male was found to be severely intoxicated. The Hospital admitted the male for a short period of time pending some test until he was released to another responsible adult.

There were also two reports about a suspicious black truck without a license plate. Members pulled the vehicle over and found that it was bearing a valid permit. Later on in the night, the Vehicle was pulled over in a parking lot in the industrial area and no issues were found.
